Artist's Description
The emergence of the coronavirus pandemic has created fear in ourselves and the adoption of precautionary measures even between couples; fear of the unknown and the invisible! We're dancing to the new tune of social distancing, use of protective devices and modified habits to cope with our new sheriff in town, COVID-19. This abstract piece depicts some aspects of the present state of affairs with the virus. We are all in this together!
About Obi-Tabot Tabe
Obi-Tabot Obi Tabe was born in Cameroon, West Africa, where he completed his primary and secondary school education. After finishing high school, Obi worked with the Cameroon government as biological illustrator at the National Herbarium under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He won the position on the strength of his advanced study in Biology and Chemistry, his fastidious attention to scientific detail and remarkable drawing ability. Obi maintained this position for over three years before moving to the United States to pursue studies in Fine Art. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, Obi moved to Chicago, Illinois where he worked as a freelance graphic...
