In the emergence of Covi-19, Hydroxychloroquine (a drug used in malaria prophylaxis and treatment) has been highlighted in the news media, medical literature and studies as a possible agent that could prevent Covid-19 infection. The drug has been invoked by Mr. Trump repeatedly since March during White House briefings on the covid-19 pandemic despite the reservations of doctors and scientists, including some advising the president. He even called the drug a “game changer." The truth: Mounting evidence from clinical and observational studies suggest that hydroxychloroquine doesn't provide any meaningful benefits for COVID-19 patients. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration now warns against use of the drug outside clinical trials or hospital settings due to the risk of heart rhythm problems. Even with this, the U.S. President remains a strong advocate, and recently revealed (according to sources) that he had been taking the anti-malaria drug as a preventive measure against the coronavi...

Obi-Tabot Tabe

Obi-Tabot Obi Tabe was born in Cameroon, West Africa, where he completed his primary and secondary school education. After finishing high school, Obi worked with the Cameroon government as biological illustrator at the National Herbarium under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He won the position on the strength of his advanced study in Biology and Chemistry, his fastidious attention to scientific detail and remarkable drawing ability. Obi maintained this position for over three years before moving to the United States to pursue studies in Fine Art. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, Obi moved to Chicago, Illinois where he worked as a freelance graphic...
