Artist's Description
The roles of pharmacists in every corner of the industry during the COVID-19 pandemic are sometimes overlooked. The abstract oil painting and collage depicts the molecular structure of a popular antiviral agent, remdesivir and the role of the pharmacist as a center stage in its preparation prior to infusion. Pharmacists play major roles in COVID-19 testing, including the preparation and administration of the COVID-19 vaccines (also depicted in the painting).
Hospital and health-system pharmacists have played a huge role in the preparation and monitoring of intravenous monoclonal anti-bodies (REGN-COV2, bamlanivimab, etc.)
and antiviral agents (like remdesivir) following clinical guidelines.

About Obi-Tabot Tabe
Obi-Tabot Obi Tabe was born in Cameroon, West Africa, where he completed his primary and secondary school education. After finishing high school, Obi worked with the Cameroon government as biological illustrator at the National Herbarium under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He won the position on the strength of his advanced study in Biology and Chemistry, his fastidious attention to scientific detail and remarkable drawing ability. Obi maintained this position for over three years before moving to the United States to pursue studies in Fine Art.
